Das Subjekt in der Liturgie

Catherine Pickstock: Asyndeton: Syntax and Insanity. A Study of the Revision of the Nicene Creed.- Modern Theology 1994; 10 (4): 326:

"Performativity in liturgy operates not according to the self-present subject's full command of the action, but rather according to his submission to a narrative mode of knowledge (to use Lyotard's term), in which that which he knows and does is subordinate to that which passes through him, beyond his analytical grasp."
