Harold Bloom über Katholische Bildungseinrichtungen

Die folgende Bemerkung des Literaturkritikers Harold Bloom hat für den deutschsprachigen Raum ja wohl mal gar keine Geltung:

"...with rare exceptions the universities and colleges in the English-speaking world that have sustained some sense of literature as a matter of powerful cognition and extraordinary aesthetic beauty tend to be the Roman Catholic institutions."

Und deshalb vermachte er seine Bibliothek jetzt an ein College in Vermont. (via Gerard Serafin in seinem Blog for Lovers)
