Das Lied fürs einfache Leben

Glücklicher leben wollen wir - nach Aristoteles - wohl alle und hoffen heutzutage meist, das durch ein einfacheres Leben zu erreichen: "Simplify your life"! "Lebe einfach, werde glücklich"!

Zu meiner persönlichen Komplexitätsreduktionsstrategie ( :-) ) gehört eine ausreichende Dosis Bluegrass-Music, die ja selbst glückliche Einfachheit zu verkörpern scheint (scheint!): Rednecks und Hillbillies spielen auf der weiten, bläulich schimmernden Prärie oder in grünen Appalachentälern fröhlich mit Fiddle und Banjo auf; nach vier Minuten ist der Song vorbei, und jeder nimmt einen tiefen Schluck Moonshine.

Ricky Skaggs hat auf seinem neuen Album "Live at the Charleston Music Hall" einen richtig schönen Einfach-Leben-Song. der denn auch gleich von der IBMA als möglicher Song of the Year 2003 nominiert wurde. Hier sind die Lyrics - jedenfalls soweit ich sie heraushören konnte:
